How Hot Guard™ Plus Works
  • Hot Guard™ Plus uses nano-sized metallic oxides to selectively block portions of the light spectrum while letting other portions through.
    • Most visible light shines through. About 70%
    • Much of the heat-carrying, infrared part of the spectrum is reflected or absorbed by the metallic particles.
  • Hot Guard™ Plus also used nano-sized oxides as photocatalysts to capture energy from the sun and even household lighting to breakdown the causes of odor in the home. Because these are passive catalysts, they are safe to use and gentle on the environment. Originally developed to counter sick school syndrome, this is one of the most effective photocatalysts in use today.
